October Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!

Hi there, hoppers!  I hope you're having fun hopping around our Stamp of the Month Bog Hop!  If you're just starting out here, welcome! You just click from blog to blog seeing what wonderful creations the 50+ Close To My Heart consultants have created for your viewing pleasure.  :)

If you've arrived here from [Wanda's blog], you're in the right place.

This month's stamp set is called Scandinavian Wishes.  It reminds me of those warm nubby sweaters people wear in the winter.  If you haven't seen it yet, here it is!

My first idea was to do a luminary - I cut 4 houses and used Vellum to stick my house pieces together.  You could use a 'real' votive candle.  I used one of those fake ones with the battery (no burning this house down!)  I punched the 'window' with a 3/4" punch.  The whole house is kind of small, but it's cute.

The house is a Cricut shape on the Art Philosophy Cartridge (Z1686, $99).

Ink color:  Pacifica.  Card Stock:  Colonial White, Vellum

I also did a card...

I mounted the three words on one block, so it was easier to stamp...Also I had to be careful not to put any of the words under the bird's be-hind.  :)

Ink Colors:  Pacifica, Slate.  Card Stock:  Pacifica, Colonial White.  B&T Paper:  Surf's Up (X7168B, $9.95), Frosted (the beige piece) (X7175B, $9.95).  Other:  Silver Shimmer Trim (Z1799, $4.95)

Surprise!  The blue paper in the background is from the SURF'S UP paper pack.

This is the back side of the paper.  Much better...

If you want to get any of the items you've seen here, take a quick detour to my website, and shop away.  Don't forget, you can only get this stamp set during the month of October.

Now hop on over to [Maria's blog] to see what fabulosity she has created for you!
