Yesterday I went to my husband's aunt and uncle's 60th anniversary celebration. I knew my mother-in-law was giving them a scrapbook, so I thought it would be fun to make some pages for them in advance, so they could just stick pictures when they got them. (Those of you who know me well will find the choice of a scrapbooking gift from me as slightly amusing.)
I made 10 pages (all very fast and easy), but the one I had the most fun with (and spent the most time on) was the last one. One of my new favorite paper packs is Cherry-O (X7123B, $12.95), so I HAD to use it for this page. I also used the Grown With Love stamp set (D1372, $22.95) to make the tree and leaves. Then I used the CTMH Expressives Font CD, Volume I (Z1280, now reduced to $9.95) and typed all the names of the couple's children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. I cut out their names, edge distressed each one and glued them to the tree. I thought it would be really fun if they took pictures of everyone individually and placed them around the tree.
It would even be really cute as a stand-alone scrapbook page that's mounted in a wall frame. My mother-in-law was looking at it fondly, so I think I might be making one for their anniversary.
