I can't believe it, summer is finally here in Seattle.  It's been so cold all summer long.  September has been beautiful, though.  LOVE IT!  I was inspired to make a summery card.

I especially like the tire swing.  I stamped it so that it wasn't hanging straight up and down.  It looks like the kid just jumped off of it!  Makes me smile.  This stamp set also has sentiments that say Congratulations, Here's to You; Wishing You Sunshine and Have a Splendid Day.  I like it for someone who might be feeling kind of blue.  I'm also thinking about using some red Glitz Gel to make some apples on the tree...but I don't want to wreck the card that I already have, in case it doesn't work out.

Supplies Used:
Splendid Day (D1462, $17.95 - new lower price, yay!)
Card Stock:  White Daisy; Tulip, Pear
Inks:  Topiary, Chocolate, Grey Wool, Sunny Yellow, Tulip (sponged on Sunny Yellow then stamped), Sky, Pear (used a Sponge Dauber and sponged it on the tree leaves)
Glitz Glitter Gel - Stardust (on tree leaves)
Sponge Dauber

If you live in the Bellevue/Seattle area, stop by my booth at Newcastle Days this Saturday, September 10 from 11am to 7pm at Lake Boren Park in Newcastle.  It's a great community day - there's booths (like mine), free music, jumpy toys, pony rides, musicians, climbing wall, wine and beer garden, food, classic car show, all kinds of things...  And the weather is supposed to be warm and sunny.  A perfect day for a family outing!

PLUS, if you schedule your gathering in the next few days (for some time this fall), you get EXTRA goodies when it's time for your party!  I have also scheduled my (seventh!) annual Christmas/Holiday Card Workshop - October 8 and 9.  It would be fun to see you there!
